A clean, new look showcases how Fantastic Sams continues to evolve and add services to meet the needs of its diverse clientele.
BOSTON — Fantastic Sams, one of the nation’s oldest and most successful hair salon franchises, is rolling out a new logo, to match its new modern store design.
The logo, which will officially launch in January 2016, is part of a comprehensive rebranding campaign that compliments the updated in-salon experience from the new store-design. The remodeled stores feature a gender-friendly, modern and open floor plan, which reflects the brand’s focus on customer interaction through engaging consultations and high hygiene standards.
A pinnacle feature of both the new logo and the salon design, is that color is front and center. Central to the new store design is a sleek and interactive Color Bar. The logo’s makeover includes the addition of the words “cut” and “color” to identify the brand’s color expertise.
“Our stylists are all trained color experts, making our salons a fantastic option for the entire family. While Dad and the kids get their haircut, we can pamper Mom with highlights or vibrant color,” said Ruth Swanson, Vice President of Marketing. “And, our no-appointment-needed model, makes finding time for a salon visit perfect for moms on the go, busy professionals or Millennials who value instant gratification.”
It’s all designed to showcase everything that has made Fantastic Sams a success for 41 years, as well as position the venerable franchise for future growth, Swanson said.
“The updated typeface on our logo, the open and engaging floorplan, the emphasis on color services, all work together to better identify the qualities that our current customers already love, and our new customers are soon to love,” said Swanson.
Fantastic Sams was the first nationally franchised hair salon and has grown to more than 1,100 locations over 40 years. Unlike discount haircut franchises, Fantastic Sams offers a full range of salon services, including haircuts and trend-right styles, color, and waxing. Fantastic Sams invented the no-appointment-needed hair salon and continues to be an industry leader.
As part of the branding and location makeovers, Fantastic Sams is updating its online image, as well. A new consumer website will go live in October 2015.
“It’s a needed update, with a lot more functions and a much cleaner experience for the consumer,” Swanson said. “If they’re looking for a Fantastic Sams location, it’ll be much easier to do so. The site also is optimized for mobile, so they’ll be able to look up hours and locations on their phones and tablets.”
“We’re making ourselves over, and we’re introducing the new Fantastic Sams,” Swanson said. “But at the same time, everything that people love, such as no-appointment salon visits, our branded product lines, and our on-trend cuts, colors, and services, all will be as they have always been.”
