November is typically a time for reflection on thankfulness - recognizing the things, people and aspects of life that we appreciate. Expressing gratitude is a proven way to lift your spirits, reduce stress and improve your overall health.
So, to celebrate the season and give thanks, we wanted to share some of the things for which we’re thankful.
The holidays can be a stressful time, but taking a step back to acknowledge the positives can really make a difference, not only to yourself but also to others. Your thanks could be the one ray of sunshine in someone else’s day.
After reading, we encourage you to spread the positive vibes by sharing your gratitude with your friends and family, on social media, in a hand-written note or however you decide. We’re sure it’ll make a difference in your mood!
Here are some of the things we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Sure, there are some family members that are on the “daily” or a “couple times a week” phone call/personal visit rotation, but this time of year, it’s likely that more relatives will be coming out of the woodwork to visit, share their latest side dish or dessert creation, and oblige you to spend time with them. This might be the only time of year you see them, and it’s plenty. But, through all the chaos and obligation of the holidays, it’s still wonderful to bring everyone together and make memories.
Some may argue that the Thanksgiving meal is the main event, the part of the whole holiday that ~actually~ brings everyone together. So, aside from seeing your long-lost aunt Margaret who’s been traveling the country in an RV and your constantly-screaming little nephew, the foods are the next best thing.
Our favorite foods are certainly the turkey (baked, roasted, fried, however!) and sides like classic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, green beans (thick-cut, for sure), corn casserole (maybe it’s weird, but sooo delicious), definitely some dinner rolls and of course, the desserts. Pretty much all of the foods are our favorite, and a lot of them even promote healthy hair. Before we digress into a food blog, let’s get back on track.
The nature of salon life helps us get to know people on a one-to-one basis, and oftentimes those guests become a part of our extended family. We’re thankful for those relationships, made daily in our 900+ locations. We’re grateful that so many guests come back time and time again, trusting their hair care to our talented stylists. We give thanks to every single one of you, our guests, who have ever stepped into a Fantastic Sams.
All of the hair and style inspiration
This is not easily summed up into one category or channel. Inspiration is all around us. Nowadays, there is inspiration everywhere for anyone looking for a new hairstyle, new outfit, wardrobe overhaul, beauty products – anything really! In addition to the tried-and-true magazines, there’s social media and a plethora of beauty, style and hair-related websites and blogs dedicated to inspiring (and dare we say “influencing?”) others to try a different look.
There’s so much individuality, personal expression and fantastic style out there, and we love it. We are inspired by all of this inspiration and for that, we’re thankful. We love transforming your personal inspiration into a reality.
Ease of making that transformation
When you do find a new hairstyle or color to try, all you have to do is visit your favorite stylist and make it happen! We’re giving thanks for the ease of the whole process - partially due to the hair color technology, cutting tools and physical aspects of a salon visit, but also to the fact that there are stylists literally on standby to make your hairstyle dreams happen, even without an appointment. If you’re hit by a whim and just can’t wait to get that new bob, we can help.
Fantastic Sams Cut & Color is a full-service, "no-appointment-needed," hair salon with over 900 convenient locations. Find a Fantastic Sams Cut and Color Hair Salon near you. Real. Fantastic.
